NutriAI & Calorie Tracker
Published by Pouxo Studio
Effective 10 August 2026 · Last updated 10 August 2026
This policy explains what NutriAI & Calorie Tracker ("the app", "we", "us") collects, why, where it goes, and what control you have over it. It applies to the Android app published by Pouxo Studio under the package name com.pouxostudio.bmicalculator.
If you disagree with this policy, please stop using the app and uninstall it.
1 Summary
- The app has no accounts and no login. Your health data is stored on your device, not on our servers.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Your health data leaves your device only when you use an AI feature. Those requests go to Google's Gemini service.
- Advertising, analytics and crash reporting SDKs collect device and usage data as described in section 4.
- You can erase everything the app stores at any time: Settings → Delete all my data.
2 Health and fitness data you enter
The app stores the following on your device, in a local database that only the app can read:
| What | Examples |
|---|---|
| Profile | Name (optional), age, sex, height, current weight, target weight, activity level, fitness goal |
| Calculated targets | Daily calorie target, protein/carbohydrate/fat targets, daily water target |
| Weight history | Weight entries, dates, and any note you add |
| Meal logs | Food name, meal type, calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, date, notes |
| Water logs | Millilitres consumed, per date |
| Saved recipes | Custom meals you create |
| App preferences | Daily AI request counters used to enforce usage limits |
We never receive this data. Pouxo Studio operates no server and holds no copy of it. It stays in the app's private storage until you delete it or uninstall the app.
The "sex" field is used solely as an input to the Mifflin-St Jeor formula, which is how calorie targets are calculated.
3 AI features and what is sent to Google
The app's AI features are powered by Google Gemini, accessed through Firebase AI Logic. When — and only when — you actively use one of these features, the following is transmitted to Google for processing:
AI food scanner
The photo you capture or select is sent to Gemini so it can estimate the food, calories and macronutrients. The photo is held temporarily in the app's private cache during the request.
AI health coach — daily advice
Your name (if you entered one), age, sex, height, current weight, target weight, fitness goal, daily calorie target, and the calories and macronutrients you have logged today.
AI health coach — chat
Your name (if entered), fitness goal, current weight, and the question you type.
Device attestation
The app uses Firebase App Check with Google Play Integrity, which sends a signal to Google confirming the request comes from a genuine, unmodified install. This is an anti-abuse measure and does not include your health data.
Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the terms applicable to the Gemini API. We do not control Google's retention periods.
Do not send anything through the AI features you would not want processed by a third party. If you would rather your health details never leave the device, simply do not use the AI Scan & Coach tab; every other feature works entirely offline.
4 Advertising, analytics and crash reporting
The app includes the following Google SDKs. These collect data automatically, independently of anything you type into the app.
Google AdMob (advertising)
Serves ads inside the app. AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device and app information, and data about ad interactions, in order to serve and measure ads — including personalised ads where permitted. See Google's advertising disclosures at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Google Analytics for Firebase
Collects app usage and event data — screens opened, features used, session length — together with a randomly generated app instance identifier, device model, operating system version, language and country. We use this to understand which features are used and to improve the app.
Firebase Crashlytics
When the app crashes or misbehaves, collects a crash stack trace, device state (model, OS version, memory, orientation), the time of the crash, and a randomly generated installation identifier, so we can diagnose and fix the fault.
These SDKs do not receive your weight, meal logs, water logs, or the contents of your AI conversations.
Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), the app will ask for your consent before using advertising or analytics identifiers, and you may change your choice at any time.
5 Permissions the app requests
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Camera | Only to photograph a dish for the AI food scanner. The app has no other camera use and never records video or opens the camera in the background. |
| Notifications | To send the optional daily reminder to log meals and water. You can decline or turn it off in Settings. |
| Internet / Network state | To reach the AI service, and to serve ads and report crashes. |
| Run at startup / Wake lock / Foreground service | Required by Android's WorkManager so the daily reminder still fires after the device restarts. |
Photos you pick from your gallery are selected through the Android photo picker, which gives the app access only to the single image you choose.
6 Retention and deletion
Your health data stays on your device until you remove it. You can:
- Delete everything in the app: Settings → Delete all my data. This permanently erases your profile, weight history, meal logs, water logs and saved recipes.
- Uninstall the app, which removes all local app data including the above.
Deleting local data does not retroactively delete data already processed by Google's services; retention there is governed by Google's own policies. To request deletion of analytics or crash data associated with your installation, contact us at the address in section 10.
7 Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and the minimum age accepted in onboarding is 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact us and we will act on it.
Depending on where you live, a higher minimum age may apply (for example 16 in some jurisdictions for consent to data processing).
8 Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete personal data relating to you, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent.
Because your health data never reaches us, you can exercise access, correction and deletion directly in the app at any time. For data held by advertising, analytics or crash reporting, contact us at the address below and we will respond as required by applicable law.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under US state privacy laws, other than the advertising-identifier processing described in section 4, which you can opt out of through your Android settings.
9 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date at the top of this page, and where appropriate, notice within the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
10 Contact
If you have a question about this policy or a request relating to your data, email us and we will reply as soon as we reasonably can.
